Leaving early!

Bob and i are leaving for our Colorado trip TODAY instead of early tomorrow morning due to the snow fall we are projected to get over night. The last thing we need is to wake up to I-70 being closed at 5:00 in the morning. We are leaving today at 4:00 pm and plan to stay the night in Colby, Kansas.

Please be in prayer for a safe trip to and from; safety for Tracy and the kids while i'm gone and for God to work on my heart to restore it to the masculine heart he created it to be. I pasted a brief caption of what John Eldridge's book, "Wild At Heart" is about, and therefore what this retreat is about...

"....what really is in the heart of men has been badly missed. 'when all is said and done, i think most men believe God put them on earth to be a good boy. the problem with men, we are told, is that they don't know how to keep their promises, be spiritual leaders, talk to their wives, or raise their children. but if they try really hard, they can reach the lofty summit of becoming... a nice guy. that's what we hold up as models of Christian maturity: really nice guys.' now in all your boyhood dreams growing up, did you ever dream of becoming a nice guy? Ladies, what the prince of your dreams dashing, or merely nice. Eldridge believes that this dedication to niceness is the reason there are so many tired and lonely women, so many fatherless children, and so few many around. 'we've taken away the dreams of a man's heart and told him to play the man...'

deep in every man's heart longs a battle to fight, an edventure to live, and a beauty to rescue. that is how he bears the image of God; that is what God made him to be. "
- Wild at Heart: Discovering The Secrets of a Man's Soul.

I'll give a full report on my return!!!!!!!

I hope your spirit is renewed, these retreats always seem to do that. God bless you and your family during this time of being apart. Praying for safe travels, as the weatherman came through, being a nice guy and all... :o), and we got the snow they were promising.
